Paul is an artist based in Farsley, Leeds, with a lifelong fascination with wildlife and the natural world. His detailed illustrations celebrate the character, beauty and intricate patterns of the animals, birds and plants that inspire him.

Working primarily with pen and ink, Paul often adds delicate watercolour washes before developing each piece with coloured pencils. This layered process allows him to build depth, texture and fine detail while retaining the expressive quality of the original drawing.

Paul studied Illustration at Bath Academy of Art and went on to work on a variety of commercial illustration projects, as well as establishing his own greetings card company. After spending more than twenty years as a primary school teacher, he has returned to his first passion and is once again dedicating himself to creating artwork inspired by the wildlife and landscapes he has always admired.
